Courting Deinonychosaurs

A pair of dromaeosaurs court near the edge of a deep forest. Here again the plumage, especially on the male, was influenced by that of the hooded merganser, but I attempted to alter it enough so it wasn't an exact copycat.

I was inspired to draw these two after flipping through Matt Martyniuk's new book, A Field Guide to Mesozoic Birds and other Winged Dinosaurs, and seeing the illustrations of displaying caudipteryx. [link]
